Expanding shafts with strips
Expanding shafts with strips are the most common solution in all industry areas. They are convenient for winding one or more rolls in applications with lower torque. The shafts are made with light aluminium or steel profile and quenched steel journals. The expanding shafts are equipped with hard rubber or aluminium strips and inflation valve installed in radial or axial direction.
There is a wide range of profiles for ideal combination of load and weight of shaft:
Available models and designs:
PNEUMATIC SLITTER SCORER SHAFTS
The steel shaft with low vibration, made in the highest possible accuracy. The body shaft is usually galvanized, made in h7 tolerance for easy bottom knives shifting as well as high fixation stability.
ONE-SIDED FIXED SHAFT
Mounting on the flange or journal in the machine´s bearings. Also often used for bayonet mounting. It is very easy to load and unload the roll on the machine, commonly used on smaller rewinders, cutting machines and label production machines. Becouse there is no need for manipulation, shafts are standardly made in steel.
ADAPTOR WITH STRIPS
The universal solution for all customers working with different roll diameters. The adaptor is fixed on the shaft via clamping flange or by shaft expansion. Naturally we are able to produce shafts in any dimensions and lengths.
PNEUMATIC SELF-EXPANDING SHAFT WITH LEDGS FOR PAPER INDUSTRY
Self-expanding shafts with ledges are capable of the perfect winding and unwinding of large roles in the paper industry at very high speeds. They are equipped with a special self-centering system with metal centering strips and rubber strips for torque transmission. The body can be manufactured in a wide variety of steel and light alloys.
